My Hometown
I was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. I have lived in Caryville, Tennessee and areas around it for most of my life. It is located in Campbell County, which is just about 45 minutes south of campus on I-75. There isn't very much to do in the area except for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, boat riding, kayaking, and other water activities due to there being mostly beautiful mountains and lakes in the area.
Major/Minor/Plans After Graduation
I am majoring in Information Technology-Cybersecurity with a minor in Business. I plan to go online for my senior year here at UC, considering ive heard wonderful things about our online program. Ive done most of my Major classes, so i will mostly have to catch up on gen ed classes. I am hoping to find an internship, either in cybersecurity or IT in general, pretty soon so i can get some experience in the field while also learning specific skills and practices the could possibly help me secure a real position at the place of my internship or somewhere else.
My Relationship With The Internet
I use the internet every day, whether i realize it or not. I use it for school, weather, gaming, social media, entertainment, and more. The internet is just a part of my everyday life that i don't even think about to be completely honest. In my personal opinion, the internets most important feature is its ability to connect people and provide instant access to information that hasn't always been on the tip of our fingertips. It is mind boggling to think about how the internet has changed ever since it was invented. It makes me wish i was here for all of it all along so i could understand it even deeper, but at the same time i am lucky to be born in the age of technology that i was.
